This is an exciting time of the year as we prepare for the season ahead, we welcome returning and new players to Saints. If you are aware of friends or family that may be interested in playing baseball, please forward this email on to them and invite them along to try baseball.

Saints will field teams in all age groups, being U12, U14 and U16 with teeball for 5 to 8yo’s.

Pre-season training for U12, U14 and U16 baseball teams will start on Wednesday 19th March, more details below.

We are again working on having Teeball this season and we are looking forward to our youngest Saints players enjoying a season of teeball. Teeball will be for ages 5 to 8yo’s.

Teeball players won’t train on Wednesday nights, they will participate on Saturday mornings with the start date to be confirmed. We’ll provide more information for the teeball players as soon as it becomes available.

Key information to start the season:
Training Start date: Wed 19th March and continues each following Wednesday.
U12, U14 Training time is 4:30pm to 6pm
U16 Training time is 5pm to 6:30pm
Players should arrive 10min prior for admin and parent’s information.

Baseball Games Start: Saturday 26th April, junior games play Saturday mornings.
Teeball, start-up details will be announced as details are confirmed.

Players coming to training should wear baseball or suitable sports clothes. If it’s warm you can wear shorts. Footwear such as molded baseball cleats, football shoes or in dry weather suitable soft sole grass shoes are fine. If you don’t have a baseball mitt, the club has some loan gloves of various sizes & condition that you can use.

To assist us with team planning, can you please email Chris at ebsaintsbc@gmail.com with your intentions to play or not for this winter season.

I am in the process of assigning team coaches now. The club encourages parents to be involved in an assistant coaching role or helping at training as a great way to be involved and learn the game with your children.

There are also scorer positions to be filled for games. Assistance can be offered to learn the basics of scoring for junior baseball. You don’t need prior baseball knowledge to assist on training nights, just an interest to be involved in the sport with your child.

Information will be sent out in email and on Saints ‘Stack TeamApp’ page, access TeamApp on your smart phone in the free Phone App, and search East Belmont Saints.

Please don’t hesitate to contact the club or myself if you have any queries.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the field again, have a great season.
